May 14-Day 4-From Limoges to Sarlat

Good morning,

We are off to one of the Limoges' china/porcelaine factories this a.m. to see how fine china is made. Today is splendidly sunny, but still cool--in the 50's. Last night we walked around the center city, since our hotel is right in the middle, and we window shopped since the shops were closed. Andy's favorite way of shopping, ha, ha, since no money leaves his wallet! We are amazed by how many lingerie shops are here and how expensive some underwear can be--up to 80 euros for lacey panties--ladies, that is about $100. I would frame them as art for that price.

This seems like a city of young people. Lots were around the city hanging around last night. Everyone is very nice here. Since our days revolve around French food, I can tell you we discovered a little crepe restaurant nearby and had dinner crepes--ham, cheese, tomato, rustic style, dessert banana and ice cream crepes, hard cider, wine. We plan to make these when we get home. Easy to make the batter and good for any leftovers. I think we have a picture. We may not have internet access after this morning for several days, so goodbye for now. A la prochaine fois (see you later). --Kay and Andy
