Hello from old Florida! I am on the porch of an artist's shop in Jensen Beach in what can only be called old Florida on the Atlantic coast. Look how I match my chair.
There are still old homes and pastel colors and beach shops and cafes, but the high rises and gated communities are coming all too fast. We stayed in Ft. Pierce, a lovely old city south of Vero Beach where you have plenty of room on the beach and in the water. In July and August, it is hot on the beach but cool in the water.
The water along the Atlantic was clean, cool, and fun for playing and jumping the waves. I even saw surfers after the rain one night. I rode on my styrofoam board in the wild surf, but you will have to use your imagination. :)

Here Ginger and I (seated) are at the Sat. a..m. farmers' market and crafts show in Ft. Pierce, just eating and drinking to start our day of play. Who are these tanned gals on the beach? Our friend Ryan Crouch is teaching flight classes in Vero Beach, so we stopped by to see him and give him a care package. Way to go, Ryan. We'll see you in the air.
Ah, thank goodness for summer, Florida, beaches, saltwater, seafood, and the gift of time.
